About us
PONS is Padova Open Neuroscience Symposium. The name synthesizes the philosophy: the event takes place in Padova, but is Open to the outer world. It is organized by Neuroscience students, but seeks integration between different fields. It is NOT a conference or lecture, but a free Symposium for everybody to participate and share.

The pons of Varolius is a part of many animal brains. In the current understanding, it is a bridge between different functional areas and a hub for the integration of their signals. This is what we want to do: bridge students with professionals, classroom life with scientific production, our today with our tomorrow.

After three successful editions in 2021, 2022 and 2023, PONS is taking place again on 29th and 30th of November 2024.
Mission
PONS is organised by students, for students. This year's edition will include talks and workshops by Neuroscience scholars and experts in the field, and a poster session by Bachleor's, Master's and PhD students.
